With a Master’s degree in viticulture and enology under his belt, Dom is currently pursuing his PhD, conducting research on the area’s unique wine varieties. His passion for local gastronomy doesn’t end with wine, as Dom is also a licensed olive oil sommelier with a keen interest in the field.

    Croatia is home to over 100 indigenous grape varieties, many of which boast exceptional quality and have earned accolades in major global competitions. In the Dubrovnik region, four wine varieties stand out, all of which you’ll have the pleasure of tasting during our tour. Dom is excited to share his knowledge and passion for his hometown through his academic pursuits.

In 2021 alone, Croatia garnered three platinum awards, two of which were bestowed upon the Dubrovnik region, at the prestigious Decanter in London. That same year, Croatia ranked third globally in gold medals at the NYIOOC, a highly esteemed olive oil competition.
